Understanding the market you want to build a product for is critical to the success of that product.  We analyze potential competitors, the price of their offerings, and where they are sold. We position them against each other to determine where there are market opportunities.  We also look for trends within a category and make recommendations to make sure you stay ahead of those trends, whether those are tech, user experience or aesthetic.
